Enigmatic and colourful Aboriginal art adorns these handmade Bone China mugs. The artists own the art and receive a regular royalty for its use under the Indigenous Art Code. Each one includes a description of the art and its meaning to the artist as well as telling the story of the artist. Fair Trade produced from fine Bone China by community artisans in China (the traditional home of Bone China). Microwave and dishwasher safe. Capacity 450 ml (filled to the brim).

Artist: Theo Hudson.

Story: Pikilyi Jukurrpa is an important natural spring and water-hole at Mt Doreen Station in the Northern Territory. It is the home of two rainbow serpents, a married couple. The wife was a Napananka skin group and the husband a Japangardi, a taboo relationship in the Walpri culture. The serpents are the “kirda’ traditional owners of that country.
